RESTAURANT & BAR

Ski Time Restaurant

Ski Time restaurant is renowned for a friendly welcome, toasty warm atmosphere and superlative food and wines.  Happy faces are our greatest reward, and your pleasure is our pleasure.  If you like a traditional pre-dinner drink, the bar and snuggery are irresistible.

With its open fire and relaxed atmosphere our restaurant is hard to beat, making Ski Time one of the most popular places in Methven for locals and visitors alike.  The menu provides satisfaction for ravenous rugby players, famished farmers and exhausted snowsporters, as well as the lighter eater, plus there’s a tasty kid’s menu.

With wonderful views to Mt Hutt, the outdoor deck provides a superb spot for some après-ski drinks in spring, and al fresco dining in summer.

Choose from our mouth-watering selections.
We specialise in local salmon, lamb, pork, chicken and beef dishes.

WHY CHOOSE US?

Actually, choose anyone, but keep it LOCAL!!

The world and our NZ economy will come back to life, but it won’t be the same if our small businesses don’t make it through the crisis.
We wish the best to all our local eateries.
You have known the quality grazing at Ski Time for 35 years, and we are doing our very best to translate that to a takeaway/delivery format. You’ll have to supply your own toasty fireplace and beautiful waitress, but trust us on the food front.

We’re not thrivin’ but we aim for survivin’ into a brighter 2021. Stay safe, friends.

Both Sonia and I have been regular diners at Ski Time for many years and have always enjoyed the quality food, service from the staff and the friendly banter with Pete and Susi. The restaurant is positioned in an excellent location with stunning views of the mountains. There’s nothing more relaxing in the summer than sitting outside with a nice glass of wine or a nice cold beer and come winter time there is a magnificent open fire in the restaurant that pumps out lots of heat to keep you warm while enjoying the great hospitality.
